Make the following statement: "I've been thinking about this for a long time and I've made up my mind. I'm going to be honest with you all. This whole religion thing has been going on for long enough and frankly this prank is starting to get boring... IT'S ALL A BIG HOAX! I thought you guys would have figured it out by now, I mean you, the followers as a whole, have had thousands of years to do so. Sheesh!"
The reaction would most definitely be interesting.

They'd kill him and get someone in who told them what they wanted to hear.

The sad, or perhaps disturbing, thing about it, is that it is just that simple. lol

I'd make a decree that I was infallible. Then I'd go on to make more decrees that the world is flat, retract any apologies that were made for the crimes of catholics, declare war on the scientific communities, you know, just really fuck things up and push the church back into the stone age.
Just for fun. Then at the day's end, I'd grudgenly take off the big silly hat, which I have been immensely enjoying wearing, walk off, take a seat on the sidelines and watch what happens next.
I used to tell a lot of religious jokes. Not any more, I'm a registered sects offender.

I'd modernize the entire Church stylistically while making the policies more barbaric.
For example, make everyone wear lyrca one piece suits, rebuild all the buildings out of steel and glass, including the entire Vatican city and the Vatican it's self, change the music behind the hymns to techno-glitch, burn all the books in the Vatican library after digitizing them all, make Kanye West Bishop of bitches and ho's.
The Vatican will be more powerful than ever!

I forgot to add that I'd donate a very large part of the church's money to charity and convert the Vatican into, among other things, a library so that knowledge would be spread for once and not be withheld.

I very much like this idea.

If I was a pope for a day I would probably be hiering Bam Magera to let him do what he wants with the place.
If those who live there don't like that the big ass church that they have there have been turned in to a huge skateboard park, then that's their problem.
But must of all would I probably declare war with USA, Israel, India, Pakistan, Russia and other coutnries with either nucelar and/or other dangerous weapons. to just see what they would do.
I would of course not be in the Vatican during the time I declare war of course. Bam Magera and his crew would be left behind, facing a possible encounter with some kind of long range missle from a warloving country. Alone with lonely cardinals, who haven't had sex(ever!), which I have given viagra. Also just to see what would happen.

Um... you know the Vatican has no army right? The worst they could do is piggy back off the italians, which isn't much of a threat in it's self.

Isn't the Swiss Guard the closest thing to a military force in the Vatican?
