I prefer volunteering over giving money. Money isn't good in itself, money can pervert people and actually work against a good cause, but if you give your valuable time, that's basically always beneficial because you're in touch with the results.

That doesn't work universally though. It's one thing to assist with, say, water aid in giving your time to help build and maintain a fresh water well, but not everyone can be a consultant oncologist assisting in research on cancer.

I do get and agree with what you're saying, but often, especially with scientific charities, what they need is more money, more profile, and more time.

When you have to issue a statement where you clarify your position in favor of eternal punishment, and against plain murder, it's time to stop and take a serious fucking look at your ethics.

Right, I forgot, they're all really good people for wanting to tell gays how to avoid "spiritual death" or God's punishment or however the fuck else you want to describe it. Such care and love!

News to me.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
