2 things.

1: On paper/screen you have a lot more time to think about things and formulate answers. It is an entirely different way of debating and I don't know how well versed Arcanus is in that. He might be, but we don't know.

2: If Arcanus were to debate TAG on the atheist experience, then Martin Wagner is a much better choice then Matt Dillahunty.

Arcanus wouldn't last. Saerules has already put him in the dirt in just a couple posts.

Very true. It is a completely different thing, posting on a forum and debating it in person. You really need to read up and know this knowledge off hand or else you're gonna be cornered so fast you won't even see it coming Tongue

Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

Wow! We see things COMPLETELY differently. I have a lot of respect for Saerules, but she is being trounced with a very big hammer.

I haven't seen Saerules actually do any debating yet. All she has done is copy/paste arguments from the internet. Plus she openly challenged the "rock fallacy" even though Arcanus showed how it was a loaded question in his first post. I told her privately that if she used the rock fallacy, she would lose the debate, and what do you know?

I hadn't read any of the debate yet, but I just did to see if Adrian had a point there. In her defense, she did not use the rock fallacy itself but argued against Arcanus his assertion that it is a loaded question (which fails because it is one).

Apart from that there hasn't been much ground covered on either side, and since the onus is on Searules to prove the contradictions as it stands I would say Arcanus is ahead in this debate.
