My wife just told me it's age 5. I still can't believe that! WTF!? I think it stems from parents giving their children a sip of alcohol to help get them off to sleep. I have no evidence to back that up other than hearsay, but it makes sense.

I didn't get shitfaced until I was 7 and discovered that flagon of port in a wardrobe. My mother told me years later that she was astonished that such a small child could hold so much vomit. 
Man, I am really going to miss being a drunk.
