Did God fire an Angel or Did an Angel just quit?

Waste.

WASTE.

WASTE!!!!!

I did not want to WASTE any of my time.

For fuck sake, learn the difference between "waist" (mid section on your body) and "waste" (to throw away or squander).

And it's "pooh pooh". I'm going to "pooh pooh" your arguments later. "Poo poo" is what you do after you've digested your food and need to get rid of the WASTE. It comes out of an orifice in your body just below your WAIST.

EDIT TO ADD: For those of you new to this forum, I've corrected him on his usage of the word "waist" in place of "waste" before. It obviously didn't take.

A waiter that feels unfulfilled by his position in the resaurant, approaches his manager. He informs his manager that he will be resigning his position. The manager, feeling angry and rejected, turns to rage when he yells "Well, you're fired!", the waiter looks puzzled and says "But, I just quit". The manager says "No. No...Here's what happened, you walked in here, and...Uh, YOU'RE FIRED!"

The story of Satan is all too often portrayed in the same way. Hilarious!

I really don't know man. I do not remember a passage from the bible that explains this story in detail.

Perhaps he knows it's a desperate struggle but his conscience drives him to take the risk. After all, we never get to hear his side of the story. All we hear is the propaganda from the ruling government that he's evil and wants all the power for himself. Isn't that what we'd expect from a dictator and how he would paint one of his generals who moved against him? That's all we'd hear from King George if we only got his story on Washington. That's what we did find Hitler had to say about Stauffenberg, the general who tried to kill him.

If you read the Bible without a bias, it's hard to come away with the impression that Satan is the bad guy unless you accept without reservation God blaming Satan for everything even though the Bible itself depicts Satan doing very little. He's basically given the same treatment (and for the same exact reasons) Snowball gets in Animal Farm, and everybody goes on praising the villain because Comrade Yahweh is Always Right. You even have the sheep bleating for their shepherd. It's unintentional and yet brilliant.

One can only dream of the veracity with which Drich would use the English language had Jesus simply admonished his followers to use proper spelling and grammar.

I'd like to know what business it is of yours? Plenty people here don't use language perfectly. Unless you doubt what they're saying, I don't see why you feel the need to school anyone. ESPECIALLY in this case where the subject of your pedantry is also your opponent.

Show some decency and common courtesy so that your opponents might have a chance to respect that you aren't the total idiot that you appear to be.

It is interesting to note that in Revelations, Satan and his minions don't start to ravage Earth until after God releases them from the pit.

So even then, Satan is working for God, not against him.

You need a comma (not a period) before your needlessly all-capped word "especially". Here's how it should be written:

"I don't see why you feel the need to school anyone, especially in this case where the subject of your pedantry is also your opponent."

Never start a sentence with an adverb like "especially".

OK, now that I'm done with your butchery of the English language, now I turn to your butchery of logic.

http://www.gotquestions.org/Satan-fall.html

My original challenge was for you to provide chapter and verse that detail such an important event to Christian theology.

Quote:Satan wanted to be God. God got rid of him.

And here's what the linked site had to say (bold emphasis mine):

Quote:Satan’s fall from heaven is symbolically described in Isaiah 14:12-14 and Ezekiel 28:12-18. While these two passages are referring specifically to the kings of Babylon and Tyre, they also reference the spiritual power behind those kings, namely, Satan.

Wow. A "symbolic description" from passages that specifically refer to worldly kings but are assumed, without any cause, to be references to Satan as the "spiritual power" behind these fallen kings, even though "Satan" is mentioned in neither passage.

"10", "10", "10" on the mental gymnastics.

Quote:Satan fell before he tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden

The snake was just a snake. Not only was there no reference to the snake being a supernatural being but there was evidence to the contrary.

Quote:Gen 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made

The snake was an animal of the field, not a supernatural being of any kind, let alone the arch nemesis of Yahweh.

It is nothing short of amazing that such an important event in Christian theology would never be described in canonical scripture but would be left to later fan fiction. Even the Qur'an, as badly written as it is, provides a better story on the fall of Satan.

Logic has to do with thinking skills. Your post above demonstrates your unwillingness to address anything not literally stated/ anything which requires basic thought. Your objections are based upon 'not thinking'.
