With this one isn't any different, except that this one goes by the saying: "you'll catch more flies with honey than with vinegar"

Christians would not accept him as the real Christ, however, because the consciousness cannot be resurrected. It would be Jesus in body, but not in mind.

Well, jesus appears on toasts, it would be on my top priorities if I was jesus.

After all, his body is what is offered in eucharist. Nothing is ever mentioned about his mind. Christians love his body, but not his mind.

Well, it makes a certain amount of sense: his mind was the part that had all those troublesome notions about getting rid of wealth, helping the poor, and doing unto others... not really what a certain type of christian wants in his life.

Wasn't this the plot of a Star Trek TNG episode? I seem to remember something about the Klingons cloning their version of Jesus and then using it as a political pawn, only to have it exposed and rejected as an impostor. Something like that anyway.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

It is a common enough scenario presented in many movies and television shows.

Well it is as silly as believing the star trek fiction or the dragon ball fiction for that matter. I wager that in the bottom line, the notion of god is something like a conforting thought, a fleeting dream. Yet, people overrate dreams.

Only trouble is that the shroud doesn't date back to biblical times, and the "blood" is apparently just paint, seeing as how it's still red after all these centuries.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

Well it's not that so much but what they found printed in one of the corners...

I don't know, I just get skeptical about it's authenticity when I think about that bit.
