Incorrect, dickhead. I support giving the living, breathing, human being the right to choose what she will do with her own fucking body. I do not choose to elevate a gob of goo over her wishes.
Why are you fucking people always so stupid? Must be the shitty book you all read.

Abortion as a whole. People are going to do it. They have for as long as humans have existed and even them Jews had ways of doing it lined out in the bible. Public safety is what's important first of all. The fact that so many women endure no other choice but abortion is a failure of society, failed policies, and religious intervention. Condoms. Use em. The pill. Provide them at an affordable cost. IUDs : don't charge the poorest of poor 900 $ for a Mirena. Quit shutting down public health clinics where they can get discounts. Quit allowing insurance companies that cover medical workers to deny IUD coverage., forcing insured individuals to go to third rate clinics or state funded clinics in order to get what they need. My sister does not deserve to be a new doctors lab rat at the public health clinic just because her insurance through work is Catholic run. Quit fighting to shut down planned parenthood clinics which are merely being swamped by the side effects of failed religious enforcement. Support the people in their plight. Women don't go having abortions cuz its fun. Its traumatizing, dangerous, and a result of lack of physical education in schools and a failed policy of teaching abstinence as the Only way to go.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

should also mention that every birth control method there is have a rate of failure, even IUD. Tubal ligations too. So all the talk about women who go for abortions are irresponsible needs to stop as well.

Well, teaching abstinence is indeed a good way, I'd say, but teaching and then not conforming with it is stupid.
Let's say I teach my daughter abstinence, but allow her to go out with boys and attend parties with her friends, send her off to trips, and etc... Only those who have accepted abstinence as a moral standpoint practice it. Others on the other hand, must be watched and guarded.

If one raises his children properly, he would be able to trust his children to go out on dates and not to engage in activities that would displease the parents. Those who shelter their children from the world, not trusting them, obviously have not raised them properly.
Also, a contributing factor to rebelliousness is overly strict parenting.

kılıç_mehmet My parents (I'm American BTW), were very protective. They taught abstinence, they opted me out of sexual education at school, they didn't allow me to go to mixed sex parties, wear racy clothing, they didn't let me watch dirty parts on movies or movies about witches, they didn't let me do a lot of things. So, when the inevitable happened and I found freedom with turning 18: I did EVERYTHING I wasn't allowed to do, because I felt I'd missed out on life. You know, had they let me go to sex ed and learn about STDs or go to planned parenthood classes at school to learn about what it's like being a single mom: I might have been more conservative with my actions. Instead, I went crazy. Same thing happens to the Amish here. The kids go nuts when they're finally allowed to. Shit if I'd been taught about the side effects in ones' life as a consequence of taking drugs rather than just being told "drugs are bad" with no explanation: I wouldn't have thought I was being duped out of a good thing and taken a bunch of them. If I'd been allowed to pierce my ears and stuff I wouldn't have gotten my TOngue pierced at 18 just for the hell of it (I didn't even know what it was for I just liked them). If I'd been able to find out who I am without having to experiment because I'd been so suppressed all my life: maybe I wouldn't have been a stripper. Just sayin.
Going into life blind is the worst way to go. Please educate your children, and teach them what they need to know so that you can trust them to make decisions on their own that are good choices for them, ON THEIR OWN. Teach them to think, and they'll know how to act.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

So I am supposed to feel sympathy for the poor because they do not have the money to kill their babies? Get real.

Moral progress would be impossible if everyone shared your thought process…
1850s- “Well slavery is wrong, but the law is the law!”
1900s- “Women should be allowed to vote, but the law is the law!”
2013- “Abortion is murder, but the law is the law!”
What kind of mentality is that? This country has a rich tradition of changing our laws when they are morally reprehensible.
As for the OP, you do realize that the vast majority of those interviewed were first asked about rape by the interviewer right? So it appears that the media is the one that has an obsession with rape. These days you cannot profess to be pro-life without some irrational reporter immediately quipping, “But what about rape!?” It’s a ridiculous “gotcha question” that proves nothing in regards to the immorality of abortion. It’s illogical to justify Person C killing Person A for something that Person B did to Person C. If you were arguing for women’s rights to kill their rapists you might be on to something, but I am sure you do not favor killing someone who actually deserves it.

If not (and I asked that question before) go and annoy someone else!!
Absolutely, have the baby! Societies existed just fine prior to abortion on demand. Your question is a red herring though, it’s not relevant to whether abortion is murder. Civilized societies choose what is morally right over what is most pragmatic.

Again, where do you all come up with these logically absurd arguments?
“Well since murderers who really want to murder are going to do it anyways, we should legalize pre-meditated murder and allow the murderers a safe environment to do the killing in so they do not risk injuring themselves!”
OJ Simpson cut his finger and got scratched while murdering two people who were an inconvenience to him, do you really feel sorry for him? I do not.

Stupid? That’s funny.
1. It’s not her own body, it’s a logical fallacy to argue it is.
2. The fetus is a living human being that undergoes respiration.
You think cells are “globs of goo”? That’s funny, this isn’t the 19th Century anymore old man.

Again, this is the same bizarre argument used above, should we set up clinics for murder and rape since people have always murdered and raped one another and this will ensure them a safe environment to do so in? Additionally, an action that induced an abortion was punishable by death under the Mosaic Covenant; it’s amazing how barbaric we are today.

I'm not sure how you teach abstinence, aside from simply telling kids not to have sex. Which isn't very effective, IMO. Better to teach them about sex and about the possible consequences of sex. Give them the opportunity to make an informed decision instead of just go with the hormonal urge. Not every young person will abstain completely (I would think that few would) but they'd be more likely to use protection or turn down a prospective "wild night" on occasion, if they felt that it was too risky.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
