The atomic clock... why is a day made of 24 equal parts?
The mile... why so many feet?
The tonne... why do many pounds?
Etc.

Now your god... why so many morals?
Why is it that other gods, originating in other parts of the planet, sport morals somewhat different from yours?
The way I see it, it looks a lot like your God's "absolute" morals are just as man made as all the other standards.
How do you make a standard?

The following is taken from C.S. Lewis' Mere Christianity, Book 1, Chapter 1:

"I know that some people say the idea of a Law of Nature or decent behaviour known to all men is unsound, because different civilisations and different ages have had quite different moralities.
But this is not true. There have been differences between their moralities, but these have never amounted to anything like a total difference. If anyone will take the trouble to compare the moral teaching of, say, the ancient Egyptians, Babylonians, Hindus, Chinese, Greeks and Romans, what will really strike him will be how very like they are to each other and to our own. Some of the evidence for this I have put together in the appendix of another book called The Abolition of Man; but for our present purpose I need only ask the reader to think what a totally different morality would mean. Think of a country where people were admired for running away in battle, or where a man felt proud of double-crossing all the people who had been kindest to him. You might just as well try to imagine a country where two and two made five. Men have differed as regards what people you ought to be unselfish to-whether it was only your own family, or your fellow countrymen, or everyone. But they have always agreed that you ought not to put yourself first. Selfishness has never been admired. Men have differed as to whether you should have one wife or four. But they have always agreed that you must not simply have any woman you liked."

Well, since C.S. the-creator-of-fucking-Lion-Jesus Lewis didn't know the first thing about Biology, Genetics, and Evolution, I'd say he never considered those findings when looking at comparisons between the mating rituals of one culture to the next. Isn't it interesting that even though you can take a group of monkeys away from their native habitat and isolate them for decades, their descendants will mate the same way there that they did on the other side of the world? Could it be genetics? Instincts passed on by DNA? Nah...it's the fucking hand of Yahweh!

Actually, you serve to prove one of my points I have endeavored to make since I began posting here.

Atheistically speaking, we all are simply advanced primates that have evolved according to a natural process that renders us fundamentally no different than any other animal.

Being as such, any illusion that we are anything more than that is just that, an illusion. Even our concept of morality is ultimately illusory, for it is simply a biological adaptation which aids in our survival and refers to nothing other than what we as homo sapiens have been engineered to believe to help us perpetuate our species.

You seem not to comprehend the counterpoints to your rantings, or you don't care. Either way-

Go to hell....theistically speaking.

I comprehend the counterpoints very well.

I understand them to be the opinions of people who admit to reality being a certain way.

Reality does not care if you are angry, it does not care if you love truth and are passionate about exposing the religious hypocrite.

Reality does not care how rational or reasonable you are, or how much you know about the theory of evolution by natural selection....

Reality does not care how many contradictions you have found in the bible...

Reality does not care about how or where or when you will die.

You, like the Christian, like the Muslim, like the Hindu, like your mother, like your father, like everyone you have ever cared for, will soon die and return to the earth from whence your first ancestors arose from some sort of prebiotic slime.

What little time you do exist here on this earth will be filled with ultimately meaningless and insignificant activities, a going through the motions of life so to speak. While you walk through life like a machine fulfilling its purpose in the grand scheme of a senseless cosmos, you may construct an elaborate sense of meaning to give purpose to an other wise meaningless existence and will live ultimately as one self-deceived. Fundamentally no different than the religious man who you think is self-deceived.

You die. You are no more....

Assuming atheism is true that is.....Confused Fall

Atheism doesn't make claims of truth. In fact, it doesn't make any claims. Looks like you're back at square one.

So?

Do you really think a transparent appeal to consequence is going to sway anyone? You think that argument is novel? It is not.
