I'll show you some pictures I just took up at the Mendocino Coast Botanical garden up in Fort Bragg, California. If anyone wants to see photos of my own garden I'd be happy to post some of those too.
That looks like an awesome place to wander around. Very cool.
My paintings. Mostly acrylic, one of them has crayons too!
This one was my first...
This one is my favorite. I super-glued Crayola crayons to a canvas...a big one...lots of them, and then used my girlfriends hairdryer to melt them. Then I added some matching acrylic paint. lots of fun.

Wow! So colorful. I like the first and second ones the best but I suspect the one made with the actual melted crayon would be something else again in person. Did you leave any bits of the crayon intact and then trailing off?
The crayons made me think of some baskets I saw at an art gallery near Boston done by Jane Maestre. I liked this one best.

Yes! I didn't remove any of the remaining bits of crayon. I thought it added a really cool dimension that wouldn't otherwise be there. I liked the depth. Of course, when my girlfriend and I moved in together, one or two pieces fell off in the mix, but nobody else but me would notice which! I'm glad you liked the beach sunset one. I like it too. It's hanging on the wall across the foot of my bed. Being that its a sunset, not a rise, its probably a closer depiction of evenings on your beach, Mark. But then again, who says its not a sunrise? I guess I do. Ha ha ha.

How often do you brew, Cthu? And what's your favorite style to brew?

In warm weather, not at all (it's too warm to control the fermentation). In cool weather, whenever I have two empty 5 gallon kegs - perhaps once a month or so. Style-wise I prefer porters and strong ales. I also enjoy doing meads, ciders and apple wine, but that doesn't require the equipment.
