Rhizomorph13: So sitting on a chair and trusting it is scientific? Roughly.......
leo-rcc: No I have reason to believe too. I dont have scientific evidence because God isn't a lump of rock you can test.
Rhizomorph13: And since there is no scientific evidence against God there personal statements must be taken.
I would like to point out that I don't believe I could convince you there is a God by my own experience, arguement or even if I had evidence. It seems to me there only way people tend to believe in God is because of their own personal experience of Him. Understandable.

You can prove that parts of christianity are wrong, illogical, etc though

Solarwave,
That would be evidence against religion. You said, "...scientific evidence against God..." which is impossible because you can't prove the non-existence of a thing. Also God could very much exist AND be completly illogical while Christianity could be diametrically opposed to Gods REAL will and this would speak nothing for or against the existence of God.

Well from now I tend to be talking about the Christian God when I say God.
It would be pretty amazing if christianity were wrong while at the same time being faultless

That actually helped me understand the atheist position more than any other long arguements I've heard before, mainly because I was about to respond the way atheists normally do 'When I see the evidence I'll consider it'.
I have to say though there is a big difference between the my christian idea of Yahweh and the Invisible Pink Unicorn (why BBHH?). The difference is my God is spaceless (ie: doesn't have form or colour) which makes more sense since God created space.

Solarwave,
BBHH means Blessed Be Her Hooves of course!
Well, the IPU(BBHH) is invisible. We know this because we cannot see her (science) and she is also pink because we know in our hearts that she is (faith).
Well, the Flying Spaghetti Monster (Spaghettis Purus) is supra-spaceless(that is like, a whole 'nother level above spaceless) and created God with one noodly apendage tied behind his meatball! Bare assertions are fun!

So you believe Yahweh is no different from the pink unicorn?
Totally the same, honestly?
By the way how do you recommend a post like done on yours and mine above?
