Why do Children not Have Human Rights?

RE: Why do Children not Have Human Rights?
Oh - and in the U.S., we do allow children to work when they are old enough. I and many others started working part-time at age 14, and I worked in the summer picking produce starting at age 12.

Son, cut the apron strings, feel the lightening sensation of letting your balls drop and attempt to get a girlfriend that's not inflatable. But please, please, double bag your jimmy. The world will thank you.

We got any bookies here? I wanna place a bet...

That doesn't work so well, either.

@OP,

For the same reason you don't hire an eight year old to manage your retirement account.

I was with you to a point about the sort of indoctrination governments perform on kids (I think a pledge of allegiance is a ridiculous thing for kids to recite) but then you went went off the deep-en....cliff.

If we don't indoctrinate them, how can we be sure they'll act exactly how we want them to?

Government schools are inherently abusive to children, because they forcibly take hostage of children and indoctrinate them to obey hierarchies. Government schools teach you to obey orders, not to question, not to work for yourself, but always to follow what the 'teachers' say, what the authority says- but never what the authority does.

Imagine if we had 'schools' for women? were we forcibly send women to for 12 some years of their life to become 'educated'? If you apply the treatment of children to any other group, the immorality becomes evident immediately.

Children are also not allowed to work. It is completely immoral, if children want to have a job, they should be allowed. Imagine if we did not let allow blacks to work, or women to work.

Take for example, hitting children. It is still actually legal in most countries for parents to hit their children. Can you imagine if someone tried to pass a law to allow people to legally hit any other group of people? It is morally repulsive how children are just pushed around, attacked, and punished like elaborate pets. But then again, people freak out more to someone hitting a dog than they do a child. I find society completely wretched for this reason.

Why the hell do children not have human rights?

The maturation process of the frontal lobe of the brain continues until around age 25. This part of the brain is the one that you use for critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, controlling your urges, etc. If a 22 year old is at risk of making a bad decision while drinking, what would a 7 year old do given the freedom that you speak of? More than control, it's a matter of protection from themselves.

Ay, Culero.

There is a reason why these institutions and laws are in place and the reason is the massive amount of childlabor that was used in Europe and America for a very long time.

Those kids actually look surprisingly happy.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.
