Violet Crumble.

OMG I LOVE those things and haven't had one for about four years. I want some so badly. You have no idea.

That makes me laugh because my Dad always had Violet Crumble around because he knew us kids didn't like it.
Cherry Ripe is good too. :-)

Last year, I was in Vegas to see a show at the Cosmopolitan Boulevard Pool (at night, for concerts, they drain the pool and put a stage up at about 6', so everyone has an amazing view- of the band and the strip.  Coolest venue ever).  My sister and I were wandering around the restaurant area in the Cosmo before the show, and we found a tapas bar.  I lurve tapas, and I rarely have to worry because Spanish food is generally nut-free.  But then I saw nuts on the menu.  A lot of nuts.  When I saw "walnut dust" (WTF???) as a topping on a menu item, I said to my sister, "I probably shouldn't even be sitting in this room."  The server came, and I asked her about the nut thing.  She told me she'd ask the chef, but meanwhile, she could get us something to drink.  We both ordered the house sangria.  She came back to tell me that the chef said everything would be fine, but that the sangria had pine nut liqueur in it.  I was a bartender for almost twelve years and I'd never even heard of the crap.  But it was enough to know to get my ass out of there.

That same night, back at the MGM, my hands were crazy dry.  I rubbed the complimentary room lotion into my hands, and five minutes later I looked like a burn victim.  Almond oil in the lotion.  I'm not gonna go into anaphylaxis just for having it on my skin, but it likes to make its mark, that's for sure.

Holy shit!  To a person without a nut allergy, having a nut allergy sounds like one of the worst allergies you can have!  Nuts are in shit you wouldn't even think would have nuts, the oil is in shit you wouldn't expect it to be in, and then you get the people who are so easily triggered that they can't even be in the same room as a nut!

My only (known) allergy is to sulfa medications.  It hasn't been a problem, seeing as I've never been hospitalized, but I think about it every once in a while in a "what-if" kind of capacity.  I've also thought I should probably officially get allergy tested to see if there's anything else I don't know I'm allergic to. Undecided

It's pretty awful, but the people who say they can't be in the same room as a nut, I'm pretty sure, are just lying or being hyper-sensitive.  My roommate is obsessed with Trader Joe's pesto, which is full of cashews, and makes it almost every night.  I stay away from it, but I can be in the same room.  Walnut dust, though, scares the ever living shit out of me because it could go anywhere.

At work, trying to figure out what to do to fill the gap between the 12 hours someone estimated a task would take, and the 9 minutes it actually took to do it.

I can't even take some forms of vitamins such as vitamin E because some brands use coconut oil as a base. I've gotta be really careful about that. Lotions are dangerous for me as well as ANYTHING with any sort of coconut or almond oil will give me the same result. Ugh. Glad we live were they have to put labels on everything now. There is a bar a few towns over that I cannot step into because of the immense amount of peanut shells scattered all over the floor. The dust in the bar area and pool table area is enough to set me off. Went in once, immediately had problems breathing and had to leave. My purse is like a labyrinth inside, filled with a rescue inhaler, epi pen and sumotriptan injections for headaches. I'm a mess.

Damn... Not even Scotty would use that sort of estimate multiplier!

You can now be a god to them.

I can be in the same room as someone eating peanut butter or the like. Heck, my other half will sit here with a jar of peanut butter and a package of crackers and munch away while we are watching a movie. It's the dust from the shells and as you said, walnut dust, that creates an issue for me. As for the bar I mentioned, the shells all over the floor and whatnot were being stepped on by the patrons, therefore causing dust to be created and it was an issue for me.

I mean dayum, I thought I padded my estimates to look like a miracle worker, but whoever estimated this is a pro.
