A contractor sent my office a box of chocolates, but it's the kind that doesn't have the user guide so I feel uneasy about eating them. If I don't like the one I pick, I'll throw it away and pick another, wasting a chocolate someone else might like. If I enjoy the one I pick, I'll likely take another, which I might not enjoy and throw away, wasting a chocolate someone else might like.
Thus begins the endless cycle of "will I like it? Nope, gotta pick another. Ooo, I liked that one, I'll keep going! But I don't like that one so I have to pick another..." until the box is empty.

Waiting for the battery to recharge on the Roomba so I can get back to cleaning house.

In business, as in many walks of life, someone has to step up and make the uncomfortable sacrifice. I say, eat the chocolates. Yes, it's difficult -- maybe agonizing -- but think of the anxiety and uncertainty you will save your colleagues who would otherwise have had to deal with the lack of a user guide and the possibility that their chocolate experience wasn't everything they could have hoped.
You know it's the right thing to do. Be that hero! Your coworkers will thank you for it.
