Well restart it, try using Edge to access Google, sign in and use your google drive to back up your important files to the cloud.
How old is it? It might not have enough RAM to run Win10.

Ah... the old firefox is not responding thing...
That made me get rid of my anti-virus. Damn thing kept "updating" or checking random files and flood the hard drive with requests, while firefox is one of those programs that also likes to hog the hard drive for himself... so... one had to give... and the one running on a lowlife user account (firefox) got low priority. I now have a windows without an AV... well, except for the M$ thing that's always there... And it still stops responding sometimes... but not as bad as when I had avira there... now, it stops just responding for a second or two at a time... once in a very long while. And this is with an SSD... Maybe it wouldn't even be an issue on a standard HDD... I don't know... I've restarted it a bazillion times. Edge is not responding as well. It's years old. Perhaps I need to uninstall 10 and go back to 8. Being pleased that psycho potato nazi thing is gone.
If you want to convince people of anything, charging in and insulting them all en masse and calling for them to be incinerated is not a good strategy. Probably wise. 10 is pretty resource intensive. It probably doesn't have enough RAM. You need at least 4GB, better to have 8GB.
If you can roll it back, I would try getting back to Win7.
