After everything is devastated by a nuclear war and the world becomes a huge episode of TWD (without the zombies) poca will still be there, wondering the ends of the earth, telling fellow survivors and travelers to come to sunny (to a crisp) Portugal. 

I'll be sure to write that novel. The guy playing you in the film adaptation will get an Oscar, I'm sure. Any preferences?
