Just got the call I was expecting yesterday, and it came with an offer. It's a $36,000/yr hit and it's an exempt position, but it's not oil and gas, the benefits are really good and it's way closer to home. It's also a start-up company and there will be opportunity to grow. Worst case, it'll keep me afloat until something better presents itself. Best case, it turns into a super awesome job I retire from.
