Hahaha! Totally forgot about that assclown. There is a brand of pickles called Klaussen. When I get home from picking my daughter up from her first day at work, I'll post a pic. 😂

I can never justify making enough of them into pickles though. I don;t want to pay to play the cannery game...and if i pickled more of my cukes for personal consumption I;d lose money on every one. Worse, it would be that much harder to sell the rest of the salad...and then I wouldn;t even be able to buy the good store bought pickles.....
...........fucking pickles.....
This sounds like a real good argument for getting out of the cuke business.

Well, some theist jackass decided to spam some bullshit. I actually tried to reply to it, but by the time I hit "Post Reply," the thread was closed. So, here it is:
Quote: pgardner2358 Wrote:Deduction based on various statements in the Bible; however, place the date of creation only a few thousand years in the past. The precise date usually found in the headings of the King James Bible is 4004 B.C., this date having been worked out by the Irish theologian James Ussher (1581‑1656). 319
This date of 4004 B.C. is a date indicated by the Scriptures.
No, that date is not indicated by the scripture, it is not mentioned in the scripture. As a matter of fact, there have been many attempts at counting back the dates in the Old Testament to get to the year of creation, and as a testament to how flawed and opaque the Bible can really be, whether it's because of the many texts by many authors, or if it's the many versions of each text with subtle but significant changes (Bart Ehrman's Misquoting Jesus gives a good introduction to this problem), the numbers vary really wildly, dating creation between 20,000 BC to 3,616 BC. Ushher's chronology just seems to have been latched onto by many creationists for whatever reason.
And if Christ hasn't returned even though the methodology you latch onto says He should have, maybe you should consider whether your methodology isn't just flawed. Or just fucking stupid.

Watching my kids play fight when the youngest got kicked in his "no no square".
If you have to ask, I'm not telling you.

Did some yard work in between rainbursts. Started work on what will be a neighborhood herb garden.
Now I intend to walk down to the pub and have a couple well-earned ales.

Having a much better weekend than last weekend. Had a great shopping day, and now...getting ready to watch something on Netflix. Went to a party earlier, and it was meh. Not everyone can throw a good party, I've learned.

Feeling completely devastated and so alone right now. Rough day, and even worse night. I just can't do it, no matter how hard I try, and it keeps hurting the people who mean the most to me.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Up to? Still awake. I had some Dr Pepper with lunch. Asked for a small, got a large, but didn't drink it all. Still, enough caffeine to keep me awake past my usual bed time. I had it early enough that it shouldn't be a problem, but here I am. Ima quit caffeine entirely, yet again, though I know that I'll be back to the trough, sooner rather than later.
