I've been having relatively frequent headaches lately, which I suspect are rebound headaches from overuse of pain relievers like tylenol. So, under that theory, the thing to do is to avoid taking pain relievers for a while, all the while having frequent headaches. In a word, it sucks. So, here I am with no real relief, eating oreo cookies to comfort myself and heating water for some tea.
Ouch that sucks. As someone who gets debilitating headaches, like, every other day, I can sympathize. Mine are hereditary and have no remedy except pain meds, which I don't like to use much. Plus, bright lights including sunlight makes it worse, and living in a country that's bright and sunny nine months of the year really doesn't help lol. Though in my experience almost any type of headache makes looking at a phone or computer screen unbearable...
Yup, it was the amp. I went down to the Central Chicago Guitar Center to test out the TC Electronic VibraClone they had, since the Line 6 Roto Machine test in Highland Park went over so poorly, and the Vibraclone is cheaper. I asked to test the pedal out and asked if I could do it with a different amp (it was the same shitty model of amp used as the pedal tester in both stores.)
Here’s the amp I used:
And here’s me with the guitar I decided to use to test it:
We bought it (plus a power supply), and for 10% off because it was the last one.
Here’s my mocked-up pedalboard at the moment.
I’m toying with the idea of putting it either before or after the Cinders. Conventional wisdom is divided on whether vibes go before or after drives.

Didn't bother with "Stairway." Honestly, I jammed with that thing for damn near an hour and the most obvious riff I used was Cream's "Badge," because it's one of the most iconic Leslie riffs. Also, I decided the best thing was to put the Vibraclone BEFORE the Cinders, since doing it after just negates the effect of the Cinders.

Fuck me, this oven hasn't been cleaned since I bought it in 2016.
Cleaning before the cleaning lady??? A bit anal don't ya think?

I used to clean houses and I could never understand why people clean so that we could clean. In case no one knew what it is they do clean, here's a general breakdown of a typical cleaning job.
Vacuum and dust Living room, dining room and family room if present.
Bathroom: shower/tub, toilet, sink, mirror. Sweep and mop floor.
Bedrooms: Vacuum, change sheets and blankets and pillow cases
Kitchen: Wipe down appliances, wipe out kitchen sink, shine faucet and any chrome or steel appliances, wipe down counters, sweep and mop kitchen floor.
Sweep and mop all other hard floors. Vacuum steps and all other carpeting.
