Getting drunk on tequila and hard lemonade. A good time to open the bottle of Cimarron blanco that I bought a few months back. It's very good.

A MAGA hat in this state would guarantee a spot on the jury.

Stoppage of play in the Twins game. Probably just as well, as they're shellacking us 5:1. What do I care, I'm drunk.

Up early this morning. Having a bowl of ramen noodles and some lemonade to replenish my fluids.

Drinking some Topo Chico mineral water over ice. A bit of a "too much sweet drink" taste in my mouth. Gonna go buy a graphics card later. I'll probably wait to open it, in case there are any drastic price changes.

"Honest, mom, this is the last graphics card I'll buy this month!"

I settled on a new card. I was going to go with a different card that was a few percent slower and $70 cheaper, but I figured that few percent faster would mean that I wouldn't have to upgrade as soon. I would have gotten considerably more bang for the buck with the cheaper card, but I figured an extra year or so of life, and slightly better framerates for the entire duration was worth compromising in terms of the bang for the buck.

Besides, for all we know, another pandemic is just around the corner. Bird in the hand and all. I hear China has relaxed their lockdowns, but the people enforcing them are still telling people that they can't leave their homes.

Got in just before the storm. I bought that graphics card this afternoon. Read Micro Center's description which said it was 13" long, so decided to return it, as I only have a little more than 12" inside the case. On the bus back to Micro Center, I discover a) that it's probably only 12.6", and b) that Amazon had it for $30 less. Either way, back to Micro Center it went. On the way home I winged it by taking the light rail back to Lake st, which arrived 10 minutes before the bus would. I hoofed it the 3-4 blocks to Target, grabbed my food, checked out, and made the block walk to the bus stop in 9 minutes.

Just wrapped up a marathon day of reading to my eldest. 1776, David McCullough. We made it through about a third of the book in the first sitting. She always wanted to hear just one more chapter. Still working through the move, but also thinking that before I move I want to go and interview some folks from Ashland. Cant do it all, somethings going to be left by the wayside.
