Thankfully the lab tech with the extensive collection of rubber ducks was there today. One tiny poke and she got all the blood she needed. A few months ago she was on vacation and I got stabbed three times by two different people and no one managed to get a tube of blood out of me. I was quite happy she was working today.
I am a little unsettled by the new questions that come now that I am 65. **grumble, grumble**
That mining around in one's arm by the phlebotomists gets old quick. I'm getting screened for a blood disorder every three months. The last visit, the gal got tired of fiddling around and got one of those needles used for IVs, found a little vein and got her quota of about 8 vials with one stab.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

My veins are the drunk-at-the-party kind, hard to miss.

Wondering whether telling Alexa to play happy music when I wake up every morning is going to bite me in the ass down the road. Maybe I'll make different routines for different moods. When I'm feeling good, I'll say, "Alexa, start me up!" And if I'm surly, instead I can say, "Alexa, start me the fuck up."

Watching newest Karl Jobst video about "Minecraft's biggest cheater in history" but was disappointed after the first 90 seconds that it wasn't about Dream. It was about a lessor-known Minecraft social media influencer. (Minecravenger)
Therefore, let us glory, yea, we will glory in the Lord; yes, we will rejoice, for our joy is full; yea, we will praise our God forever. Behold, who can glory too much in the Lord? Yea, who can say too much of his great power, and of his mercy, and of his long-suffering towards to children of men? Behold, I say unto you, I cannot say the smallest part which I feel. 🙏

Adjusting to my new glasses. There's only a slight change in prescription but enough that my eyes are going to need a day or so to adapt.

I got new glasses a number of months ago. I continue to wear my old glasses as the new ones are heavier.

First full day after Dad tested positive for plague, here’s the game plan:
Also spent about an hour or two going back and forth to and from the store because the doctor delivered it to the wrong pharmacy.
In addition, I tested myself partly out of an abundance of caution and partly because I think I’ve been developing some symptoms. Since test came back negative, it’s likely just sympathy pains.

He’s been quadruple Vaxxed, for the record. Given that, his taking Paxlovid, and daily COVID deaths in Cook County (where I live) being consistently in the single digits since early August, it’s likely he’ll survive.
