The first one I tried was 'Swann's Way' but only got about halfway through and it was very heavy going - a lot of description, not much action. Then tried Dickens and basically had to keep rewinding to understand each line. So I like the idea of audio books in principle.. as something you could just close your eyes and let wash over you, almost hypnotic like... but in practice for me it's going to need to be something easy to follow that doesn't require too much concentration to take in.
I'm not much of a book person. I've never gotten through more than about 10 chapters of any audiobook. Though I'm hoping that will change a bit if I get my gear organized. I have a Kindle Paperwhite Signature that has plenty of room for audiobooks, but I haven't started using it yet. I just need to get my headphone situation handled. I have two Aukey true wireless earbud sets after I returned one for exchange because it was defective, but I need to test them before I take them to donate. With the defective pair, I brought them and put them in when I was ready to donate, testing different charging methods, and each time I got about 20 minutes in and the left earbud dropped out. That's no fun.
That's too high tech for me... I've never used Bluetooth earphones or suchlike, though I'm sure it would probably make it a lot more comfortable to listen in bed. I've got a Kindle as well, don't think it does audiobooks though; it's just the smallest one; forced to upgrade to it recently because Amazon disabled the Kindle Store on the old one, forcibly obsoleting it as it were. I don't mind though... I don't mind upgrading if it's only once in ten years lol.
But yeah, I'm not much of a reader either, well of fiction anyway; my Kindle's mainly full of reference books and non-fiction... which wouldn't be much fun as audiobooks but it's still something I'd like to get into in principle, if I could just find the right book.

Deciding if I want to try again today to groom Ziggy...I am leaning toward not today.
Sewed for several hours today, bathed the Tasmanian Devil-I mean the puppy, made tacos (tomorrow I will have nachos for lunch), currently baking cornbread for the parrots. May just play a few card games on my laptop and finish up the latest audiobook I have almost finished.

Cornbread for the parrots cracks me up every time.

They love it. And it gets veggies and minerals/vitamins into them thanks to the things I add.

Watched Dead Man with my Dad. Did quite a bit of commentary to explain for my non-Jarmusch-pilled Dad.

I have taken a bit of a break from quilting but finished three today. My new sewing table sure makes some things easier.
Treating myself with a slice of apple pie.

Took half a day off and went diving this morning... Today was a good day, mantas and grey whales on the surface, sea turtles, eagle rays, a rare active daytime octopus, along with the usual fish and eels.

It would probably be okay if you skipped adding the egg shells.
