We developed a variant to deal with the mana screw/flood, the biggest issue hounding the game. You don't use land cards at all. Instead, you can play any card as a land (once per turn). It becomes a basic land corresponding to the colour, a colourless card becomes a nonbasic land which produces (1), and multicoloured cards come into play tapped as a multi-land.

Of course, some cards don't work so well with this rule, but most of them do just fine and it adds another layer of strategy. Which card to lay for land? It's more for fun games, especially drafting//sealed deck.

Just finished watching this very sad, somewhat disturbing and creepy video for a robotic body pillow that mimics human breathing patterns. Now I'm imagining this creepy, marshmallow monster developing awareness and suffocating the shit out of that guy during the night.

Had a pipe burst because it was -15F or so here last night. Plumber is on the way, but no running water or heat for now.

I hate stupid valentines day. Used to be one of the highlights of the year. Now I can't even stomach going out, on the day itself and about two months leading up to it. Even fucking xmas isn't this exclusionary.

Gave someone a card yesterday, even though I knew full well I was never going to see one. I didn't even bother getting myself one like I usually have to. It's all just fucking pretend.

Fucking hate this fucking shit.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
