I had my first driink in months on Thursday. Will this start a trend? Probably not at $10 for a margarita.
Listening to baroque music on Pandora. Later I plan to go to the grocery store and get a pound of flavored chicken wings. But not right now.

Just feeling like everything is completely pointless. I need to get a job right now, but the idea of that just sort of makes me feel like crap. Because I know what it feels like to just do work that has no purpose besides money. I just don't feel like I have an easy time doing stuff unless I feel like there's some sort of point to it. That's the problem I think a lot of people have and why a lot of people feel depressed with life in general. There isn't really a point to doing anything, so many people have already seen that and decided to end their own life. It's strange to me, to think about how I'm still choosing to live on this planet. It's like, I'm just being defiant against the nature of existence itself, choosing to keep living is absurd yet it's something I want to do.
I guess it's just natural human nature to want to sustain it's own life, but I feel like at a certain point when a human being reaches a level of intelligence, it becomes aware of the absurdity and pointlessness of it's existence. I think that's one of the biggest tragedies in all of humanity, except there's a lot of people who are quick to dismiss these sorts of things. It's funny, you look all around you and people take battling pointlessness so seriously, they're willing to construct absolutely absurd belief systems and cults, designed to keep people away from feeling pointless. How am I, with this knowledge, supposed to feel like doing anything?
I've always had this problem too, I've always had extreme apathy towards living, I basically live for myself and I live for the pleasures of living. Come to think of it, that's basically the only reason I live. There's nothing pleasurable about doing any sort of work though. People take it so seriously, they devote their lives to learning and becoming ready for a job. I did that, now I'm just a floating ship in our society. I am told I must care about living, I must care about working, I will have to make a living eventually. The absurdity of it is, this was thrust upon me and I never wanted any of it. It makes me feel like all the life is sapped out of me, but there's nothing anyone can do to help.
It's funny to think about it, but I actually think that it's bad when people try to reach out and help. That's what happens when you say you have a problem with something in the world. People will try to reach out and give you advice and say that they will be a person you can talk to. That's not what I need though, what I need is some sort of purpose in life, what I need is something in life that doesn't make it feel boring, like a massive uncaring drudge through endless negativity. I feel alienated and sad a lot, but that's nothing anyone else can really do to help me with. I have to suffer through this miserable void, for the rest of my life. It's something that I am constantly dealing with inside of my head.

PP, have you tried antidepressants?
I've felt exactly what your describing and they've worked for me.
That little voice inside your head is bullshitting you, no matter how reasonable it sounds.
Go see a doctor, book the appointment today.
You have the capacity to be happy, really you do.

Will that really make me feel motivated to do anything? It's so hard to find the motivation to do anything, I couldn't imagine there being some drug that helps me with that. Plus, I always see in the commercials for the drugs they prescribe all the side effects, it's scary. I don't know if lacking motivation is a symptom of depression, even. Sometimes my head feels painful when I'm sad, and I lack the ability to feel comfortable, but not all the time. I also don't want to become dependent on a prescription drug, like so many Americans these days.
