Aquarium snails are hermaphroditic, yes, but it depends on what type of snail it is as to whether it can reproduce in your tank. I have Malaysian Trumpet Snails (Louis/Louise collectively, can't tell them apart sufficiently to warrant each one getting their own name) which can and will reproduce until they max out the tank's capacity to support them, and Julian and Gary are nerites which will lay eggs in a freshwater tank but the babies can only survive in brackish or saltwater. Pond snails are like MTS, reproduce until they don't have enough food in the tank, as are ramshorns. I'm not sure about mystery snails.
I also don't know about terrestrial snails. My guess would be that they're hermaphroditic but I don't know under what conditions they can or would reproduce.
