So, my big update on my septoplasty recovery: blood is returning to my eye, albeit mostly in the form of red gunk sticking to my left eye. Dr. Finally called back and explained that this is actually a fairly normal side effect that should stop when I have the splints removed on Thursday. Spent most of the day in and out of sleep. Will probably have to take a laxative tomorrow. There was so much gunk in my nose that, when applying a Neo-tipped Q-tip to clean the inside of the nose, I needed five full Q-tips to get rid of the multi-colored gunk.

Watching a Danish documentary stream on DR about an actor with anxiety, Rudi Köhnke. Although I have an intractable fear of heights, I have never experienced anything that comes close to what he describes. The anxiety he describes is at least 10 times worse than what fear I've experienced from some place, at a high altitude.
