Lost my watch this morning. I was halfway from the bus stop to the plasma center before I noticed it. I figured that I could have lost it on either of two buses or anywhere in between, so I figured it was hopeless going back and checking the last bus. So I kept walking. But I forced myself to turn around and check anyway. It wasn't on the bus, but I retraced my steps and there it was, just outside the porta potty. I had at one time purchased a metal band for it but never put it on as it was somewhat involved adjusting the length and so on. Maybe I should reconsider.

Splurged and picked up a couple of porterhouse steaks to grill. Baby potatoes, sauteed crimini mushrooms, and grilled pattypan squash for dinner.  Hungry

Putting up with the dogs barking everytime the neighbors set off a loud firework. Thankfully we will have severe storms arriving in 2 hours.

Our city has been eerily quiet on the fireworks front, which is a good thing. All that rain brought up a lot of vegetation, and now that it's dry it burns like gasoline when set afire.
