RE: What's everyone up to right now?

Yesterday I got news that I can no longer donate plasma at Octopharma. New policy regarding amputees. I considered checking out a different plasma company, but I'm pretty well off right now, so I think I'm just going to stop while I'm ahead. I have a significant financial cushion and so now is as good a time as any to get used to the loss of income. Better now than being caught with my pants down at some future date.

Always corn........... are you daft woman? ![Hehe Hehe](https://atheistforums.org/images/smilies/hehe.gif)
I decided to go with corn and okra. I have some cans of serrano peppers, but that might be pushing it, so I'll stick to jalapenos and chipotle peppers.

I found an electric gooseneck kettle for roughly the same as the stovetop kettles. It's no-frills but the fancy stuff costs $15-20 more. I'm just waiting for some refunds to be credited before I order.

Vacuum sealing ground beef. Making overnight oats.
I made an appointment to get flu and covid shots Thursday. Don't want to wait until Kennedy is confirmed.

Afternoon coffee. It's a mix of two different blends. 1/3 Starbucks' Verona, and 2/3 Caribou Mahogany. The initial sip had some bite but overall it's smoother than regular Verona.

My youngest just got home from his first robot war. They called it king of the nerds - he got third place. Nerd Prince. Robot was named TIMMY!

Apparently, the ice machine in my fridge died.
Good News: Dad, acting with an unusual alacrity, called Abt and got an appointment for a repair.
Bad News: It's in two weeks.
At least I have some ice trays in the downstairs freezer.

Debating whether to pay a $600 credit card bill. I paid $200 for now, but if the shit hits the fan in Washington, keeping the other $400 in the bank would cover another month's rent.

I've been out for for just over a year now and I've got my first interview tomorrow for a reforestation outfit. Trying to remember whether I still own a collared shirt, and if I do, which box.

I got an email from Amazon that Audible books are now included in my Amazon Music Unlimited subscription. I'm not sure what that means exactly, but it could be very good news. I was having some thoughts about canceling my Amazon Music Unlimited subscription, but if it includes audiobooks in some way, that could change the math a good bit.
