As PBB said, you will do much better in a field in which you excel.
If your skills are people-related and public speaking, AND you have technical ability, there are a lot of jobs in product marketing, sales and what not. PM jobs can pay big bucks as well. For example, product managers for software companies can make $150k+. For those jobs, typical education is a mixture of business degree, comp sci and MBA wouldn't hurt. Undergrad in comp sci with an MBA is a nice combo for many business-side, semi-technical careers.

Thanks PBB and JHC!
I agree fully with the grades and aptitude. I intend to get no less than a 3.5, ideally a sparkling 4.0, not for bragging rights but because I genuinely want to understand what it is I'm supposed to be learning, and be able to excel in my field, because nobody will pay me $$$$$ if I am a dumbass at it.
Which is why I'm unsure if anything involving programming is good, I'm quite intimidated by it...
Everyone has their weaknesses... Maybe I would be good at it though, maybe the only way to know is to try to study it and if it seems like it isn't for me I can just not take those courses anymore.
Hmmm BS in Computer Science and MBA yeah... Possibly... I'm thinking though that BS in Finance with MBA, or even BBA could result in me working in investment banking...
I like sales and public speaking if I'm selling something very good.

For what it is worth.
When I started in college, I decided to become a Philosophy major. Then about halfway through my general ed courses, I started thinking about career potential. I switched to Business Admin-Management Information Systems. Graduated with B.S. in that field.
But then, I went for my true love for my graduate degree. I went for Geography. I love Geographic Information Systems and cartography.
You NEED to think about the potential for career in your degree, but that is just my two cents.
Best of luck.

sarcasticgeographer, interesting progression there! Glad you found what you want though.
I'm thinking BS Finance --> Financial Advisor / Investment banker / Financial analyst... a lot of career potential from the BS
MBA --> Marketing manager ...
I suspect BS Finance will keep me away from programming while still attaining quantitative knowledge and skills that employers are looking for.
I will research it more still but I can't imagine going jobless and struggling with a BS Finance...
I've read a lot of hate, particularly from programmers (go figure) who say "CS > Finance! All day!" they're practically cheerleading it, so I don't take that into consideration but with a grain of salt.

Definitely... I could get a BA Theology and MBA then start a Church group and get donations
It's pretty hard work though with all of the sweating and yelling and hookers asking for more than they're worth.
I'm pretty keen on BS Finance --> MBA right now.
Any experienced, constructive objections?

A Bachelor's in Psych is roughly equal to a Liberal Arts degree in terms of what kind of job you can land with it, but you can do clinical work with a Master's.

Very smart. A finance degree will get you a job in almost any city. Get some experience under your belt when going for that MBA. With respect to CS, I live in Silicon Valley, and there are a TON of unemployed people with CS degrees. Not sure what the atmosphere is like where you are at. Haven't met many unemployed people with finance degrees though,
Also: There is the unwritten rule. What I have learned is it isn't important, what you know, it is WHO you know.
Seriously consider doing some intern work. You never know where that will take you. Kudos to you.

Oh cool, no one took the troll bait around page 3 or so. Love this forum.
Just want to get in here again and say thanks for making the topic and thanks all who replied to him. I'm in almost the same boat he is at the moment so I'll definitely be looking over the advice that's been posted.

I know man, this forum is like heaven ironically ! lol!
I hope you can get some help too bro, these guys have been so awesome it's unbelievable. I almost made a huge mistake by "biting the bullet" and going with Psych.
I really feel confident about BS in Finance at this point. After all of my googling and talking to an advisor, it seems like a really solid choice.
There are no guarantees in life, but I want to stack the odds in my favor as best I can.
