Just a thought going through my head tonight. Think about it: almost every topic between Christians and atheists goes back to the bible, which was the past. Its basically all Christians have because there is nothing modern they can show to support their belief system.

Atheists, however, can at least rely somewhat on ongoing discoveries that shrink the gaps that any gods can fit into. We will not know everything, but we know more and more with time.

In addition, the present is seemingly devoid of miracles on a scale even 1/10 of that in the bible. Again, the past is all the Christians can point to when trying to display the power of their god.

If we look at the past, there might have been a god. If we look at the present, we can't seem to find any.

Well the Bible is a completed book. So indeed in that sense Christians live in the past.

But Christians look toward the future. For the individual saved person, they will live forever with Jesus Christ.

As the Bible says:
