um Ivy? maybe you should write memoirs of what happened to you, but you rewrite it to where you tell those goddamned dirty pig shit fuckers off the most compellingly awesome way possible-- "Atheist Style". It would beat that twat waffles Atheist Comedy Thread anyday.
![]() pardon my French.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite. Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment. Quote:Some people deserve hell. I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong. ![]() RE: Have you ever felt you were missing out on the good things church has to offer?

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

I don't miss a damn thing by not going to the Catholic church any more. Holy fuck mass was/still is so incredibly boring that even as a child I always found my mind wandering.
My wife still asks if I want to go but I haven't been in forever. I don't miss a thing and don't care about all the fellowship/community since I know what they'd really think of me if they found out I am an atheist, plus 99.99% of them are all ultraconservative idiots. It's like as long as they think you're one of them everything's hunky dory, but if they think you're one of "them," you're going to get the cold shoulder.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.
