I will say that that is true. Most of the gods that people worshipped were not God at all.
But that does not show that the God of the Holy Bible is not the true God. In fact the Holy Bible claims that Satan exists and made up all those false gods.
Book, chapter, and verse, please. I know the bible claims Satan exists. I don't think there's anything in there about Satan making up false gods. I think YOU made that up because you're a Poe. Prove me wrong.

In Revelation 12, Satan is called the great dragon and that old serpent. Many people have worshipped a dragon or serpent figure.
Revelation 12:9
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
In the Revelation 13, the dragon is being worshipped.
Revelation 13:4
And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
That same dragon was worshipped by the Roman Empire as their chief god.
Revelation 12:1-5
1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

Satan tried to even get Jesus Christ to worship him.
Matthew 4:8-10
8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Satan, the Devil, and the other fallen angels, called devils, were worshipped by those that worshipped idols.
1 Corinthians 10:19-21
19 What say I then? t hat the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.
It is also recorded in the Old Testament of worship of devils.
Leviticus 17:7
And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations.
Deuteronomy 32:16-17
16 They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger.
17 They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not.
Psalm 106:36-38
36 And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them.
37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,
38 And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.

Good question.
In essence this is the answer.
The Bible proves itself that indeed it is from God Almighty Creator.
That is another topic though.

Well what I wonna know is what's the difference? I call myself a agnostic but I consider yahweh no more likely then the easter bunny.

Devil/Satan - 10
God - 2,400,000 - 3,000,000 depending on whose figures you use.
If there is a God, which is highly unlikely, it certainly isn't the Christian God.

Mars, Milky Way, Galaxy....I see a pattern - God is trying to communicate to us through chocolate. He's trying to tell us of the enormity of space.
Just wait till the universe and multiverse bars come out.....it'll be the end of everything I tell you (particularly my 34 inch waist jeans).

That would be circular logic and in no way proof of god's existence. Stating that the bible is proof of god's existence is akin to stating that a marvel comic book is proof of Spider-Man's existence.
