First - if YOU were actually interested in EVERY argument against YEC - you would not believe in YEC - there is a mountain of proof that YEC is not true and there is not a single Article published in a peer reviewed scientific journal that supports an earth that is only about 6000 years old - NONE at all. There is NO basis for saying YEC is logically sound - because it is not.

Virtually all YEC arguments require the existence of a god - no one has EVER provided proof of the existence of one - in any peer reviewed scientific journal article as well.

WE have proof that the earth is billions of years old - and that in order for the Solar system to form - the SUN had to exist BEFORE the earth did. That part of genesis - that the earth came first - cannot be true at all. As far as age - we can count the ANNUAL layers of ice at the poles to determine that the earth must be several hundred thousand years old at least - and there are several trees on earth on which the annual rings can be counted to show they are over 10,000 years old - so the YEC argument is WRONG based on direct countable proof. And I have not even considered carbon dating - which PROVES that YEC is not true

More important - it is clear from geological studies that there NEVER was a time when ALL of the species of animals on earth existed at the same time. It just never happened.

Oh ouch, you got me, see I am not ashamed of having an honest job. You however should be ashamed of that ignorant book and all the ineptitude and immorality of it's head character.

Dishes are real, god's are not, not yours not any claimed in human hisortory. I can touch dishes, all you can do is mentally masturbate and pretend. You're in good company though, most of the world has sky daddy claims.

How does it feel to have your ass verbally handed to you by "Dishboy".

Yes I do, I simply put both holy books and comic books in the fiction section where they both belong. No difference, except you are too delusional to accept facts which is why you cant see your book for the comic book it is.

Brief background: After studying creationism, I was encouraged to see how strong this model has become over the recent decade.
It caused me to want to search out and read arguments AGAINST creation. And the more I read them, the more convinced I became: the creation model is actually very logically solid.

Welcome, Jeff. An intro thread would have been a more courteous start.

One wonders if you make a habit of treating people in service industries so rudely.

One also wonders if you like spit in your food.

1 Timothy 1:3-4
New International Version (NIV)

3 As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain people not to teach false doctrines any longer 4 or to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. Such things promote controversial speculations rather than advancing God’s work—which is by faith.

Titus 3:9
New International Version (NIV)

9 But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless.

So tell me YEC, how do the YEC's determine the date of the Earth?

I love how the bible says to avoid endless genealogies, which is basically what the book of Numbers is.
