With a certain degree of evidence behind it, which gives it a leg up over "eternal god," for sure.

Where did the god come from? You have no more answer to the question of origins than anyone else. In fact what you believe is divorced from everything we have good reason to believe. But you believe it fervently .. as if that were any recommendation for anyone else believing it. Like so many of the worst kind of xtians you lack all humility. You esteem your own unjustified impressions and opinions above those of everyone else. You ask us to put aside what we know and join you in feebly believing utter bullshit. No thanks asshole.

Ain't you been listening? It comes from nothing!
Don't pretend like you've got some step up on us, by the way; you believe something comes from nothing too, you've just twisted the language, called it eternal as though that makes it better. Well, the foam is eternal too, so... whatever.
why didn't you post this a long time ago? it's the foam, of course. it was right in front of us and we didn't see it but you could have at least given hints along the way.

You can belittle scientific hypothetical possibilities all you like, but it doesn't make your unsupportable beliefs any more plausible.

Yeah ST, your credibility on the forum (and internationally as the scientific genius you are) certainly warrants an undue level of sarcasm directed at things you don't understand,

The quantum foam, as I understand it, is a property of space-time.
At the singularity, the space-time which comprises our Universe was compressed in it and, has since, expanded.
We don't know if there is space-time beyond the space-time that was included in the singularity that expanded into the universe as we know it.
If there is, then it is reasonable that the singularity that expanded into our universe came into being through some quantum-foam phenomenon which yielded more particles than average.
It could then also be that space-time itself (the one beyond our universe) is infinite. If it is infinite, then such phenomenon which yields such singularities could happen elsewhere, thus giving rise to other universes, not necessarily as large or as small as our own. Actually, if space-time is infinite, then there would be infinite universes.
Or not.... all this is based on an IF which is, at least currently, beyond our ability to measure and determine it.
If there is nothing beyond the singularity that expanded into our universe, then I've got nothing... and nothing then is what any god is.

From the drooling mouths of fundy creationists who can't see the real world for the book of fairytales in front of their faces.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

eternal foam?
I think it's interesting how close to some defintiions of God quantum foam can come to. Pretty much all the qualifications that don't involve being a person.

Rocks and space debris? Nonsense to even suggest that it was always there. Indescribably advanced super-being with enough energy to fuel the cosmos? Perfectly reasonable to assume that he was always there.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
