Where did the universe come from? Atheistic origin science has no answer.
RE: Where did the universe come from? Atheistic origin science has no answer.
Yes, etneral foam is like God, but without the ego, vindictiveness, double dealing double talking pettiness, athe constant desire for affirmation, or the need to rape a virgin to produce a son. It's like God, but much more overarchingly god.

With a certain degree of evidence behind it, which gives it a leg up over "eternal god," for sure.

Please tell me more about this foam

Don't pretend like you've got some step up on us, by the way; you believe something comes from nothing too, you've just twisted the language, called it eternal as though that makes it better. Well, the foam is eternal too, so... whatever. Dodgy

why didn't you post this a long time ago? it's the foam, of course. it was right in front of us and we didn't see it but you could have at least given hints along the way.

I never heard about this foam. Foam without beginning or end? I have never experienced such foam as this. Most foam I come in contact with had been created. This sounds like a supernatural kind of foam.

Where did the god come from? You have no more answer to the question of origins than anyone else. In fact what you believe is divorced from everything we have good reason to believe. But you believe it fervently .. as if that were any recommendation for anyone else believing it. Like so many of the worst kind of xtians you lack all humility. You esteem your own unjustified impressions and opinions above those of everyone else. You ask us to put aside what we know and join you in feebly believing utter bullshit. No thanks asshole.

God always was. I am basing my beliefs of the Word of God, not myself. I side with God over man's opinions. I believe God more than myself or any fallible man. I can't force you to believe.

Hey, there's this wonderful new invention - it's called Google:

Quantum foam
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Creationists are just like any other cheats. They can't play the game without palming a card.

I don't understand how creationists are a cheat? We have faith in an all powerful God who created this universe. You disagree. I get that, but why do you all have to belittle us, call us names, swear at us, and brush us off?

No... the clue was on the "perhaps".
We don't know enough to say that your premises are true, so your conclusion is not guaranteed to be true.

In fact, it seems that all matter and energy of the known universe came from that quantum foam...not ex nihilo.

Quantum foam???

It is impossible to reason that it does without any fucking evidence for it.

No evidence of a god, either. Rolleyes

I'm not going to stake my soul on foam.

I use the terms "cheat" and "palming a card" with precision. The context of the post you quoted was the Kalam Cosmological Argument, which cannot get you any further than "stuff exists, therefore something made it". The only way to give the flimsy illusion of profundity is to leap, without justification, rhyme or reason, to "therefore that 'something' must be the god of the bible". That's what I meant by palming a card, ie cheating. Savvy?

No, you prefer to do it based on nothing at all.

You can belittle scientific hypothetical possibilities all you like, but it doesn't make your unsupportable beliefs any more plausible.

How many people on this site believe in this Quantum Foam?

Did you even look at the link I gave you? If not, here's a sample:

Quote:The idea that space is a bubbling brew of ephemeral particles sounds like complete nonsense, but the idea has been confirmed. In 1948, a physicist named Hendrik Casimir realized that if you placed two metal plates near each other, separated by a very small distance, the quantum foam would cause them to move. To visualize this, remember that quantum particles are also waves. Between the plates, only waves (particles) with wavelengths smaller than the separation between the plates can exist. Outside the gap, waves (particles) of all wavelengths can exist. Thus there are more particles outside the gap than inside, and the imbalance pushes the two plates together. This effect has been observed.

and

Quote:The quantum foam is real. The microcosm is in continual motion. Scientist J.B.S. Haldane's aphorism is true: "The universe is not only stranger than we imagine, it is stranger than we can imagine."

Education can be fun; you ought to try it.

Yeah ST, your credibility on the forum (and internationally as the scientific genius you are) certainly warrants an undue level of sarcasm directed at things you don't understand,

I find Snowtracks posts to be solid, rational, and in good taste.

Even if there were such a thing as eternal foam that magically appears and disappears, even that would need a Creator.

Unless I can see this god of yours, and touch this god of yours, or handle this god of yours, I will not believe. The difference is I can be persuaded with evidence.

Seriously? Ad hom? Don't you have something more original? You're comparing physical evidence verified and validated by experiment and observation with imagination and fuzzy feelings, and yet I'm the one with more faith? That's almost cute!
