You do know long division, don't you, Huggy? What is 34 divided by 23.7? Note: "34 divided by 23.7" is also expressed by 34/23.7. Got it, ape?

ROFLOL

You never reached fractions in you "education", and have no idea how they work beyond what you can look up in answer.yahoo, have you?

look you muppet, we made it clear that as it relates 34 to the length of DNA and the 23.7 the width.. THIS WAS NEVER A FRACTION IN THE FIRST PLACE. We are talking whole numbers.

So no 23.7 does not equal 237

You do realize you get 34/23.7 only because you measured it using anstroms, right? You realize anstrom is only a customary unit, and is not really a proper SI unit of measurement right? You realize using proper SI units the ratio would be 3400/2370 picometers, right?

So measuring the same thing with two different units gives you two representation of the same thing, hence 34/23.7 = 3400/2370, and if you invent another adhoc unit like anstrom, say a huggy, equal to 10-11 meters, the same things measured in new units would be 340 huggy vs 237 huggy, so what in anstrom is 34/23.7, and in picometers is 2340/2370, would in huggy be 340/237.

See, if you add 340 and 34 to the top of the horizontal, then havig 237 and 23.7 underneath it causes two equal fractional values to appear, almost by magic,

Oh my god, it must proof of christian god!

Angel

Please, don't ever get any education. You are too much fun exactly as you are.

No one is talking about whole numbers. It's all about ratios and fractions.

Are you really this fucking stupid?

He said 34/23.7 = 340/237

That is a true equation.

Except everyone insisted it was a fraction...

and btw, that's how i originally formatted my numbers: 34/21 = 1.61

My point was, the 34 and 23.7 were never a fraction in the first place they relate to two different things, so why keep displaying it as a fraction?

It is a fraction. All instances of division are expressible as fractions.

Because that is what a ratio is. It's a freakin' fraction.

except we've determined that you can't display a decimal point in a fraction, true or false?

What part of 34/23.7=340/237 don't you understand?
