Where did the universe come from? Atheistic origin science has no answer.
RE: Where did the universe come from? Atheistic origin science has no answer.
Just because someone can do something impressive to us, that doesn't mean anything they say about themselves or anything else is true. Why would it? If I turned up in a helicopter to primitive man and claimed to be God, by this standard they should accept that. I could equally say I'm the Loch Ness Monster or I'm a shapeshifter. I have to demonstrate these claims even if I'm packing amazing stuff.

This is the problem. No one actually has any experience of God they can demonstrate, so there is nothing to compare God to even if he showed up.

God's fruity now? And it wasn't orange blossoms. I'm quite certain he smelt of elderberries.

Fine! I'm not stopping him. I'm right here bubba, come say hi.

Words of the Bible and the facts of nature come from the same source, from God himself, who chose to make himself known.

How do you know the words of the bible came from God?

Bacchus is revealed directly through my sense of thirst, so there's one way he beats this pissant little god.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Or elderberries if Cato's right. I'm just disappointed it wasn't myrrh from the Land of Punt.  Tongue

its own power set and that is impossible whether the universe is finite or infinite.

Indeed, as even for the lowly empty set ø which has no elements, the power set is {ø}, a set containing one element. Or were you thinking of Bertrand Russell's "set of all sets which aren't elements of themselves," a famous set that includes the Barber of Seville?  Wink

that the physical entity claiming to be God that can do the miraculous (as detected directly through the five senses) wouldn't prove the existence of God. The poster indicated a personal visit would convince him.

God’s two revelations (Scripture and nature) will agree when properly interpreted. For instance, Scripture states the heavens are spreading out like the unfolding of a tent; we now know we exist on the surface of a four dimensional universe that's expanding.

Ah the old interpretation gambit.

The thing with vague poetic writing as seen in the holy texts is that they can be interpreted to fit many things and then there is the cherry picking to get one that kinda sorta seems to match facts if you squint and look at them sideways.

Colour me unimpressed.

That's where Nostradamus was cleverer!
He wrote stories in the same style as above of things that hadn't happened yet.

Almost like he wanted people to make his stories fit the fact after the fact.
