lol.. I read that first sentence as "Joy of joys! There is another movie about Jesus coming out!" oh the irony!

If only MST3K was still around to work it over.
Damn! If the Catholic church starts making statues of any of them, I'm going back to church!

Well, one thing for sure. You won't have to push the priests out of the way.
Actually, I think I saw this movie. It sucked. ![[Image: !!eBs!,w!WM~%24(KGrHqJ,!lYEz+y84ofTBNQ1SkYCVg~~_35.JPG]](https://images.weserv.nl/?url=i.ebayimg.com%2Ft%2FSon-Godzilla-DVD-2004%2F06%2F%21%21eBs%21%2Cw%21WM~%2524%28KGrHqJ%2C%21lYEz%2By84ofTBNQ1SkYCVg~~_35.JPG)

Doesn't that sound great! It'll have that sexy Portugese model as Jesus again. Perfect! A reworking and condensation of a story that just recently got shown on TV. Because that worked out so well for M. Night Shyamalan when he decided to adapt the first season of Avatar for the big screen. Okay, at least Shyamalan tried to put his own spin on the pre-existing material. It was still shit, but at least it wasn't just a re-edit. And, seriously, have you ever seen any instance of a film that was a re-edited version of a Television program that actually turned out good?

Well think about. If they actually got into the actual history of the matter, evangelicals and fundamentalists would be up in arms about the fact that whatever historical Jesus of Nazareth there may have been is essentially unknown (barring his execution and religion perhaps), the corruptions and interpolations of the text (ending of Mark's Gospel & 1st Timothy, among others) and the contradictions.
When that actually happens, I'll gladly pay my 50 sheckles. |
