Personally, I don't like reading Job often. Although interesting, and entertaining its too dramatic even by OT standards.
The Lord would never put someone with Jobs' faith through such a trial. Never mind making a deal with the Devil.
I'll bet you've selected a bowl full of perfect cherries from the bible. Which ones do you prefer? How do you know the ones that give you inerrant truth from the ones that obviously don't belong?

I'm a Gospel kinda guy! I read a few of the OT books; Wisdom, Psalms, Proverbs....sometimes Sirach, for fun quotes! Like "Choosing a wife"! "A woman has to take any man, but a man must choose his wife carefully." My wife frowned a little @ me just now! LOL!

Thing is, I usually only use the Bible when some other asshat tries to tell me what I believe based on it.
