Someone was talking about it on the radio today, so it does seem there's a push to get this book promoted before November 22, when I'm sure there will be a ton of JFK assassination programs on TV.
And while this isn't evidence against this particular theory, why hasn't it ever been brought to light until now? Why have we never heard the theory of the bodyguard accidentally shooting JFK in the past 50 years? There have been plenty of other assassination conspiracy theories.

IT just seems that with every "conspiracy" there is always some crooked asshole with a book that he sells to the lunatic fringe. They duly sit there, nodding their heads, to the sound of tinfoil rustling. It isn't new - it's been around for a couple of decades. My understanding is that the hypothesis was debunked a long time ago and it never gained any traction.
On the other hand, my hypothesis - that the whole event was carefully orchestrated to divert attention away from the premiere of Doctor Who the very next day - has never been debunked.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

In my defense, I don't keep track of JFK assassination conspiracy theories. But still, the timing of this book is suspicious.

This is the picture of Hickey holding that rifle. It does not prove the gun discharged but he did have it and Hickey admits to having his hand on the gun
