And again, you're assuming that many North Koreans will even be looking to worship God. I think you must be under the misunderstanding that NK is just like the United States, where people are often shopping for a Christian church to go to. North Koreans have been subjected to brainwashing for 60 years, so the idea of Juche is so extremely entrenched in the population, and the Kim family has created a popularity cult so that the Dear Leaders are seen as gods. I seriously doubt any North Korean would even know what to make from the bible even if they were allowed to read them. And I seriously doubt any of them are looking for Jesus. You're naive if you think that any North Korean is going to automatically assume a bible dropped into his hands is the complete and utter truth and his Dear Leader is lying.

It was Sheer volume.
It wasn't just Korea we were fighting it was China. Communist China funds and supports N/K. Why? Because they can indirectly oppose us and not loose anything in the process. While we wear ourselves out fighting korea, depleating man power, resources and getting ourselves deeper and deeper into debt doing it, who do we turn to refill the coffers? They did this very same thing which is why after the hell storm we fought through in okinawa we knew we did not have the numbers or will for a main land invasion, so we dropped 2 atom bombs in an attempt to help change the mind of the Emperor. (we said the next one is going to tokyo even though we did not have a 3rd one to drop)
The same thing happened already in North korea 60 years ago. That is why we are still 'technically' at war with them or rather why they are still at war with us..

I have no dulisions about how the people in North Korea live.
You need to understand they believe they are already worshiping God. Just like in Japan durning WWII they think their leader IS GOD.
Do you get it yet?
If They are already worshiping what they Think is God, then their willingness to worship a god is not in question.
So, if they want to worship God then show them the God of the bible. If they turn to worship the God of the bible then N/K army goes from 26 million, back down to 4 or 5 million (paid soldiers.) Meaning not every man woman and Child will be willing to martyr themselves for thier former god.

This ultimatly is what broke the back of communism in Russia. China learned this by watching us, and is in the position to do the very same thing to us with N/K.

North Korean conventional military forces may be nothing more than a very low speed bump for the US or South Korean military. But a zenophobic, paranoid militarized state like North Korea almost certainly has made extensive contingence preparation for the eventuality of being overrun, and would have prepared weapon caches, partisan resistence organizations, safe houses, method to continue to intimidate the civilian populations, and the other necessecities of a lengthy and bloody insurgency. As Iraq and Afganistan shows, Americans are reasonably inept at dealing with a motivated insurgency. So even if there is no direct Chinese intervention and military action against the US, any eventual American success in military operation against North Korea would probably take much longer than one might realize when one simply compare opposing forces tank for tank and plane for plane.
Furthermore, if it really becomes clear North Korea is about to be invaded and overthrown from the South, the Chinese might just preemptively invade and occupy North Korea, and confront the US with the much tougher choice of whether to actually attack the Chinese or not.

I could see this as a more likely scenario than them joining the North Koreans after we've begun an invasion, like in the Korean War. I don't think that China wants to piss off its largest customer by attacking its forces, but I could see a preemptive occupation of NK and then saying, "Come and get us" and hoping we won't want to go to war with them.

Your forgetting a few things. First off is that the Korean tanks are home brewed, and have no real service record compared to a Abrams which can out manoeuvre and out shoot them. Another and more important is aerial superiority. Neither the Chinese nor the Koreans have anything that can touch a raptor or a f35. That not even thinking about what a arely Burke, or a los Angelo's class could do. The issue is insurgency warfare which I think would evaporate if you kept them well fed after the war.
