The point is well taken that no matter what a woman wears IF a male is intent on rape then rape is highly probable.

I think we have already established in other threads that iSlamic males are infantile, incapable of civilsed behaviour, and unwilling to keep their sexual desires (for other males, women, animals, or children) within bounds or to themselves and require ridiculous laws and prayers (like that matters) to make it OK for them to be nothing more than beasts of the field

Yes, these garments do help them survive. Present day Tuareg still use them, even the males cover their faces, leaving only the eyes for obvious reasons...
But if you live in some village I don't think there would be that much of a reason to use so much covering to go from one abode to the neighbour's, unless some vanity was involved... Or the men forced it to keep women pretty
Thus allowing the "social" aspect of always wearing it outside to creep into their psyche...

It has never been disputed that the niqab and burka are cultural (at least by those in the west) and yes it IS saddening to see it seep into the psyche of females of these middle eastern regions where this garment is NOT a requirement but a cultural law.

If you don't wear that, you die, so the law requires that you wear it.

Much like our laws prohibit suicide, I guess...
