Ok.... Explain this one?

RE: Ok.... Explain this one?
Well, its a wheather phenomenon, usually happening when cold meets hot in a size that threathens us humans, kinda like a human foot threathens a colony of ants. To the best we know, it happens when certain conditions are met and I still wonder why people build wooden houses there!

It wasn't sent by anyone.

"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

My dad was a private pilot. After a tornado we flew over the path. It went straight as an arrow for miles. Then it made a slight curve around a Lutheran church and continued straight for several miles more. I never thought of that as a coincidence.

It was just a coincidence.

The problem with theists is that they see signs and wonders in every day mundane events. If Jesus' image on a dog's butt is any indication, theists merely look for excuses for anything to be a sign from their nonexistent god. All because they cannot accept the fact that their god does not exist.

I guess all those that come up in this search (google image search for "church destroyed by tornado") were not a coincidence either...

What's that?... Oh, they're blinders on your eyes...

Of course you didn't because you already believe in God in the first place. A tornado missing a church is entirely consistent with the model you assume.

Is it evidence for your worldview? No. Odd coincidences happen everyday and that could just be another one.

Because you have no explanation.... except that its "all in our minds"!

Well...wrap your minds around this one!

You'll need to play at least a few seconds of the video because CNN didn't want to offend anyone (aka atheists)!

There is a very obvious explanation for this! Through the power of prayer, the cameraman was able to command the Christian God to divert the tornado away from his house and family, smashing and killing other houses and families!

My favorite part about this thread is that ronny was trying to show that god isn't all in believer''s heads and then proceeded to demonstrate just the oppposite.

There is no better comedy than when a Christian says "Explain this."

Wanna know what I think? I think the guy was a fucking idiot for standing there at the window videotaping while a tornado passed by.

I don't know! I've NEVER had a person who prayed, come to me and say they weren't answered in some way.

The same is true of people who consult magic eight balls.

Kind of Jesus to bring us to an atheist forum. I always figured he was pretty easy-going except on people who make a mockery of their religion by the way they practice it.

So Our Savior Lutheran Church in Washington being destroyed by a tornado the day before yesterday is also something you can't think of as a coincidence, eh?
