Oh right - this is why I am suddenly picking up a few reps here and there. I did wonder.

I owe lots to all sorts of people - please don't be offended if I haven't repped you and you think you deserve it. You are probably right and I am a lazy shit.

If I rep unwisely, that's my cross to bear.

Yeah but, they're getting a bonus by you mistakenly giving them rep in the first place, so they're not really losing anything. They've just had something they think they deserve, and at that time you thought they deserved.

They wouldn't really be paying any penalty if you took away their rep IMO, as they didn't necessarily deserve it in the first place.

Then again, I may be thinking into this too much.

Why no negative rep?

I looked at my rep and it looked like there was a place for negative rep to be counted. No mechanism for that though? Odd.

I do not do negative rep anyways. And besides, Chas, if somebody's got a high post count and a low rep, magical thinking is clearly indicated. Wink

Here is a thread for the whole matter, you're welcome to read it through. Wink
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

I didn't think to look for that, so thank you.
