All the other politics threads pertaining to guns are over 30 days old and the forum told me to create a new thread for the topic, so I did.

This is the thread for all the political issues pertaining to guns. What are your opinions on guns? As for me, I love guns. They are the bulwark of liberty. If a population is armed, then they are free.

I own several firearms which I keep securely locked in a special-access gun safe. I have thousands of rounds of ammo in storage and I also own quite a bit of tactical gear which I am trained to utilize, and I regularly exercise my skill-set. I would not object to stricter gun controls, though they will do little to keep guns from the people committing the majority of gun crimes, and will likely only prevent responsible citizens from arming themselves against the bad guys (cops included).

I am glad that I live in a country with tight gun control. I wouldn't trust my fellow idiots citizens to have guns. Besides, true badasses use knives!

I am afraid of guns. More to the point, I am afraid of myself holding a gun. I am klutzy, and often hurt people just with my feet. I have never even held a gun, mostly because I'm petrified I'd spaz and hurt somebody.

They should be universally condemned and outlawed. Alternatively, they should be at least forbidden to men. Helen Mirren in Red 2 has me convinced a woman with a gun is too damn sexy to ignore.

Also, like Kaye says...knives are badass. I do enjoy blades.
