You are a fucking retard.

There is no fucking magic to life. Not in the good humans do or in the bad humans do and not even with suicide.

No one needs Allah or Vishnu or Thor or your magic baby/ zombie god to explain squat.

The only dullard here is you and your self centered circular bullshit reasoning that a sky hero is need.

Au contraire my deeply uneducated friend, most atheists don't believe in afterlife (atheism is the lack of belief in god(s), but a few spiritual ones believe in afterlife). This majority that don't believe in afterlife, this life is the only one they will get, reason enough to enjoy and make the best out of it.

But I guess you are just baiting for people to get angry at your ramblings, I'm glad people here are just giving what you deserve: Scorn & Mockery.

I'd mock the atheists who think there is an afterlife too. Just like I mock atheists who think Star Trek invented the cell phone. Bullshit is bullshit.

I too have made several attempts on my own life, for deeply personal reasons none of which have to do with atheism. The attempts have ranged from alcohol assisted overdose to slitting my wrists with broken glass and all of them were deadly serious, not cries for help or any such thing. It could be argued that if I were truly serious then I would have succeeded, but that doesn't take into account quite how surprisingly difficult it is to make a person die. My excuses, if that's what zero-minded twats wish to call them, mainly centre around consideration for whoever finds my body; I wouldn't want 'my' day to poison, say, xmas or a person's birthday. Neither am I going to promise that I'm never going to try again.

However, I am reminded of a piece of advice I was given by a good friend on another forum, who supported my right to exit the game without actually endorsing it: never follow any advice that doesn't feel right - including this.

Hope I haven't hurt or shocked anyone too much.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

So, basically you're asking that I kill myself, and waste what remains of the one life I'm ever going to get, in order to prove you and your half-baked misunderstanding of simple philosophical and biological concepts wrong?

Yeah mate, you're not as important as you seem to think you are. Rolleyes

No Stimbo not hurt or shocked, we all have our darkest moments and from where I'm standing I'm glad you failed in those attempts. You would be depriving us from reading your posts Smile

What pisses me off about superstitious morons, is that they think reality is magic. I too, not to your extent, but I too have thought a couple of times of calling it quits.

If one survives any type of death or dies, either way there is no fucking magic to it, and that includes suicide.

No you have not shocked any rational person. Police and doctors and MEs see all sorts of death all the time including suicide.

I am glad I didn't succeed and I bet you have your reasons too. But none of surviving or dying is magical.

Oh, one further point I meant to mention, which I'll have to use now to further my post count:

If and/or when I do finally decide to go through with it, it will be on my own terms and for my own reasons, not to prove some silly point or other inside our friend's pointy head.

(And cheers for all the positive comments, guys. That was far from the reason I shared such a personal thing, so I appreciate them all the more.)

If this is true, then you believe that it is god's will that I not believe in him. Otherwise, by rejecting belief in god I have made my will manifest, with no need to do something as drastic as suicide.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
