Mt. Soledad cross ordered to be taken down

These are xtian shits.  They wouldn't waste that money on the poor.  Better to let the DoD have it so they can buy bullets to shoot at muslims.

More than you I am sure.

The Southern Baptists have the third largest relief program in the world, the only two before it are also Christian based, we've done more to help than you could possibly imagine.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

I'd take it with a pinch of salt

I don't know about over there in America, but here in Europe any time something "anti-Christian" happens it's not to please secularists, it's to please Muslims and other minority faiths. I think it's interesting how in that article Daniel Mach said "This is a victory for religious liberty" instead of just saying "a victory for secularism". It's not a victory for religious liberty if you are a Christian, but it sure is if you're another faith.

I think any Christian taking moral high-ground about "the poor" should be ashamed of themselves. Africa wouldn't be in the position it's in today with mass poverty and rampant HIV if scientists and secular teachers were sent there instead of priests, or even if every colonial power left it the fuck alone but still.

So, Huggy is 'The Southern Baptists'? And You do not know how much I have done.

Back home I'm a volunteer English tutor for adults who never graduated high school and new immigrants looking to learn the language. Many of our students are, yes, poor, disabled, or otherwise disenfranchised.

That's what I do; I mean, I'm not willing to steal credit for the work of many other people like some theists in this thread have already done, but it's what I do personally. I give my knowledge and expertise so that others can attain accreditation that they never had a chance of getting before, with attendant new employment opportunities.

Always love it how ready you guys are to just assume things about our personal lives, like that we do no charity work at all. It really shows how much your preconceptions rule you.

RE: Mt. Soledad cross ordered to be taken down
I spent almost ten hours yesterday doing charity work when I could have been having Sunday Funday with my friends.

Four times a month, I stay up all night to be ready to go to the forensic hospital 30 minutes away so I can be there in case someone gets raped. Last time, it was a homeless girl, and since I can't let the cops take her back to where she was raped (the 7-11 parking lot), I had to arrange a bed for her at a shelter where I also volunteer.

I do work for the homeless all the time, and I'm currently setting it up so no one gets me Christmas presents this year and in the future, and instead they'll provide me with sweaters, blankets, toiletries, backpacks, etc. so I can keep those things in my car in case I run into a homeless person who needs them (which I do often).

This is all while I'm currently completely broke (I literally have $2.16 to my name) and jobless.

So, yeah, Huggy and GC, tell me again how little atheists do for charity. I even do it all without throwing a book at anyone!
