How a Republican attempts to reach out to people younger than 50

RE: How a Republican attempts to reach out to people younger than 50
Gotta fail spectacularly a couple of times before one finds success. Smile
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day

You're forgetting that these are people who are really out of touch with mainstream society. It's a wonder if they would know what a meme is in the first place.

Remember in 2008 when John McCain, running for president, had his spokesman say that he was "aware of the internet?" These days, that's like saying you're aware of telephones and color TV.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

My bad. I will never think of a politician as culturally competent again. Or as a person with common sense, really, because apparently this is real, and I can't conceive of how Steve Stockman thought that it was anything but an awful idea.

So I suppose we can look forward to Stockman twerking in about 20 years?

The possibility is both real and frightening.
