I know he's just (and yes, loving) because I believe his son Jesus Christ who demonstrated this to us through his life and death. I believe the witnesses who wrote the gospels and the apostles who walked with him and went on to be persecuted and killed because of their faith in him. Do you believe any historians who wrote about ancient events? They're all biased you know, we all are. And finally, yes, I believe because of the work he's done in my life. No, I can't prove it scientifically, just as you can't prove scientifically that life evolved from inanimate material. But I believe it for good reasons.

Why would the omnibenevolent God feel the necessity to have two bears viciously maul little children for acting like…children? This is supposed to be the same “wonderful” and “loving” God who promises us eternal life. HMMM. Help me understand. If I turn down a free gift from a magazine company they don't care. But they certainly don't send me o be tortured If Godvwas loving the options should be heaven or non existance

By insulting Elisha, the youths were expressing their disdain and disrespect for God's representative Elisha. The curse which God sent was also a warning of the curse which he would also bring against the entire nation. Actually, God was very patient with the Samarians, giving them countless warnings which they ignored time after time. How many times did they need to be hit on the head before they realized what he was telling them? In new testament times, as well as atoning for our sins, he gives us countless warnings of what the future holds for those who reject him. If we choose not to go to him, then we spend eternity without him. He won't force us to take the gift that he lovingly offers to us. You can say what you want about God, but he is loving, and he is also just. Jesus was put on a cross and murdered you would have thought God would have rescue him when he cried out on the cross don't you think

That was the reason he came. Bloodthirsty? I don't know the mind of God, but when Adam sinned, and we also sin, the penalty of that sin is death. Before Adam sinned he wasn't subject to death. An offense against God is more serious than a sin against a person. That's why Jesus' sacrifice was so significant. He made the ultimate sacrifice for everyone who has or will live. He didn't have to. It was his choice. |
