Male and female viewpoints on sexuality are different. Men have different issues and I'm ok with separating them. Why aren't you?? Women are always excluding men from topics they feel are intimate to them. I don't think genders merge to most people.
That does seem crazy... one post in a thread - the topic is questions about Christianity.. and they do say debate in the theology area if you want to do that. Of course I'm stereotyping Evie... for the majority this is the case. It would never cover the whole spectrum, of sexuality, and it wasn't meant to.
Are you saying that people expressing a preference shouldn't be allowed consultation with someone of the same sex?? Why aren't there many male midwives/ doula's? Why is this a female dominated profession? I actually think it's discrimination to deny a sexual preference should a person express it. Your political correctness makes you look good, but it's thoughtless. Sometimes integration is healthy, and separation unhealthy. I hate separate sex schools. I've seen some strange results! Women can't talk about some aspects of sex in front of men if the men aren't going to be sensitive to the woman's perspective. Stereotypical maleness is not to discuss. If a person has the ability... that should be all that matters. Not age, not sex, not 'race', not the size of a person's earlobes. Women are incredibly strong and have absolutely no problem expressing themselves in my experience Amph.. it's a female thing in case you hadn't noticed. Maybe you're different?
"Because they are more likely to become doctors" ...wow! How sexist! Midwives would argue that doctors are less qualified to deal with childbirth.. and from my experience I'd have to agree. So you disagree that women prefer women to assist with every aspect of childbirth??? You disagree with the female role in rearing children? The reason for the distinction is that naturally women understand what another woman goes through having experienced this themselves. People also have a need for privacy. That need can have sexual boundaries. People feel they canshare privacy with the same sex where they cannot with the opposite sex. This is nature. |
