So I got in trouble

Drich Wrote:I can't say I'm sorry for something I don't think is wrong.

Yeah you can. Its called humility. You know she's right. You think your understanding of online etiquette overrides her understanding of gods will for your actions. You think you're his special asshole, pretty much, who gets away with being an asshole because its for god. Problem is, Drich, the same fulfillment a nonbeliever gets by being a dickwad, is what you get to enjoy when you're doing the same thing. Can't have something for nothing, as you teach; you're sinning.

Quote:Hence the nopology approach, however I can agree that my behavior right or wrong is not consistant with what my stated purpose is here. Therefore I can admit to doing things or saying things that conflict with my purpose, and can pledge to try and minimize my involvement in this type of future behavior.

I would not want to be you standing in front of your god with this attitude, Drich. You either have less fear for him than you say everyone should (possibly because you think you're his special, special asshole), or you're an arrogant person whose blissfully unaware of how ridiculous he would sound to his god.

Quote:As far as being sincere, nothing I've said here, isn't anything I haven't felt, experienced, witnessed or endured in my life unless otherwise stated. I know I have made some fantastic claims over the years, but even so my reporting on what I have witnessed or endured is as accurate as my memory will allow it. Why, because it is my truth, and my truth lends itself to the existence and envoy meet of God in my life. This same truth is offered to all of you as well, free of charge! Just live how I think the Bible says you should live.

Fixed that for you.

Your wife sounds like a smart cookie. Any chance you could get her to post here occasionally?

What about?

Hmm how about she go through all your posts (like you said she did anyways) and see what she has to say about your 'ministry'. Then we'll see if she thinks your time spent online 'for God' *scoffs, has been worth the time she's endured without her husband. Quite frankly, I feel bad for her. Your arrogance and selfishness is painful a world away; I shudder to know what its like for your partner.
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

Does your wife know that you want people to get aids and cancer? Does she want people to get aids and cancer too, in the hope that it makes them a neurotic prat like you?

Oh, there is one thing. I'm not easily manipulated nor do I have a problem standing behind one of my decisions. I may have framed this thread in a subservient way putting me under my wife's authority, but it was not my wife's authority that got me to apologize. She appealed to scripture, and even though I do not see a sin here I do see the need to eliminate anything I may be doing that may cause un due strife.

I just read what you wrote I said: "We own and operate a business together. On average We spend 98% of our waking hours together in a small office, then go home together, eat sleep and watch tv together, then get up and do it all over again. "

Mrs Trich said:ROFLOL" you guys know what 'he' is like, if you can't stand him for the small amount of time he is on line with you, why in the Devil do you think I want to spend more time with him? (She actually said hell but told me not to type it.)"

You have a knack for ignoring the pulp of the message, and addressing non issues. I rebolded the important things, the ones you ignored, and challenge you to address them. As requested, I'll provide supporting biblical text down further in my post.

It's clear you lied when you said she went through your posts; made apparent by your posts over the last year that I've observed you on this forum. As a matter of fact, I've had Christians review your posts and they disowned you as being Christian altogether. Did you even show Mrs. Trich your non-apology? Kinda seems to undermine the motivations of having you apologize, wouldn't you think? Actually it's a slap in the face to her, but don't tell her that. I wouldn't want to hurt her feelings.
Also, I highly doubt she even said what you just said she said. Since you seem to lie about her regularly, I have precedence for believing such.
Lack of evidence seems to be your forte.

You are right, and your the opposite of humility is: arrogance. You have quite a bit of it, and absolutely no humility whatsoever. I'm pretty sure your god would not approve.

Drich Wrote:I know I am not here to hurt people's feelings. At the same time I am not here to coddle you all either.

Coddling, and being a bad representative of your god are two very different things.

I suggest you do some self-reckoning, then, before you even get online with atheists. Your character is lacking, considering your end goal. If that is indeed your goal, to be a light in the darkness. Personally I think you just like to show off to your Christian buds and be a dick to us atheists, letting the Christians (and your wife) think you're this Big bad Minister to the lost sheep, when in reality you just like the argumentation back and forth just like everyone else. Light in the darkness? Please. That's
ASSuming we are indeed in the dark as you believe.

Doubtful. But I'll bite.
Keep in mind, Drich. I live life in love. Only in absolute humility can you find, absolute love. The difference between you and I is that you are here in the lions den, proselytizing. A higher standard is held unto you, than us. It's a self-administered standard charged upon you by your god. When you don't uphold that responsibility, and bring yourself down to 'human' level, you don't really do much for your intended purpose if indeed your intended purpose is ministry.

Bible Wrote:“Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”

- Philippians 2:3–4

“We do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord and ourselves as slaves for Jesus’ sake.”
2 Corinthians 4 verse 5

1 Thessalonians Ch 5
“Clothe yourselves with humility, for God is opposed to the proud but gives grace to the humble. Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God that He may exalt you at the proper time.”

Luckie Wrote:If you can't do what god tells you to do, and have him "exalt you at the proper time", then maybe you're taking the wrong path friend. You seem to be taking a different path altogether, which speaks to this fact that his path was inconclusive. I tend to think that maybe you're plain out wrong, and there is no god to exalt you, so you're on your own self deluded path of assholery.

1 Peter 3:8

To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit;

Isaiah 57:15

For thus says the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, "I dwell on a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite.

Colossians 3:12

So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience;

Titus 3:2

to malign no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing every consideration for all men.

James 3:13

Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.

1 Peter 5:5

You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.

Proverbs 18:12

Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, But humility goes before honor.

James 4:6

But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, "GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE."

Quote:My orginal mission statement:

I came here looking to bring clarity and understanding to those interested in Christianity. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Well than by your own admission, your purpose here is over ... as NO ONE here is interested in Christianity.

I'm totally kidding. You have taught me how to A/S/K god to show me the truth and I finally see it. I'm so glad he chose such a great messenger such as yourself. I mean he could've chosen a man of great love and faith, but instead he chose a belligerent uneducated filthy apologist to show his mighty hand. Tell your wife she was wrong. You shouldn't be apologizing for anything. You should be accepting an award as World's Greatest Christian. Your double talk, verbal gymnastics and outright back-peddling has shown me that there is NOTHING too big or no argument too great for the one and only almighty Jehovah to overcome with a humble servant such as yourself.

What denomination are you? Because THAT'S the only christian denomination for me. You guys have got it figured out, and clearly the rest of the christian denominations are heretics. You should show all your fellow parishioners this posting so that they can see the amazing work you've been doing here.

What I've learned from Drich about Christianity:

1. Yahweh does NOT love everyone.
2. If you don't know how to properly look for god, you may not find him.
3. Human sacrifice is not human sacrifice ... unless it is. See a True Christian™ to know the difference.
4. God's plan may involve a LOT of death, disease and suffering.
5. Little children are not "little" at all and sometimes its perfectly acceptable to kill "teenagers" with bears.
6. Hell isn't really hell, but there is a hell and all the non-believers are going there.
7. If Yahweh is really pleased about how much you love him, he may allow the devil to kill everyone you love.
8. It is very likely that god does NOT have a plan for the great majority of people in the world.
9. If you were a Christian, and didn't find Jesus, you were never a Christian. See #2
.....and this is the most important thing I've learned from Drich about Christianity:
10. The almighty creator of the universe, who has the ability to be everywhere at any time and even remains inside the bodies of the most devout believers - would rather send an incompetent self-righteous boob to a tiny website rather than just reveal himself to everyone.

Awesome. When's my next lesson Drich? I'm ready to start spreading the good news to all my friends and family. I just need some more of that sweet guidance you give here. I must continue your work.
